This new educational approach emphasizes the importance of empowering individuals as learners and promoting their ability to manage themselves and make informed decisions in their educational process. According to the New Learning Culture concept, cited by (D. Thomas in 2011), a new cultural phenomenon underlies many people's experiences and affects them in multiple ways. It requires limited environments that provide complete freedom of action within those limits without needing teachers or classrooms.
In today's world, where information is always available, and the skills needed for the future are increasingly diverse and complex, empowerment is essential and crucial. Students must direct their educational process, making informed decisions about what, how, and when to learn.
For D. Thomas, this new approach to learning is directly related to society and permeates almost everything we do. The key is discovering how to take advantage of these new resources, making play, questioning, and imagining the foundation of our new learning culture. Furthermore, collaboration and teamwork are fundamental skills in a globalized and interconnected world. Students must learn to communicate effectively, collaborate with people from different cultures, and work as a team to solve complex problems, enrich their educational experience, and prepare for work where collaboration is increasingly necessary.
Finally, creativity and innovation are the critical drivers of progress in any society. In an educational setting, fostering creativity means allowing students to explore new ideas, find original solutions to problems, and dare to take risks.

A meaningful learning environment is an educational approach that focuses on designing relevant and meaningful student activities and experiences. This approach helps increase student engagement, motivation, and participation in the learning process. Moreover, it aims to equip students with practical skills and a deeper understanding of concepts that they can apply beyond the classroom to overcome real-world challenges.
As D. Harapnuik aptly puts it, "LearnLearningobile. The classroom is no longer a focus of control; the network is." We live in an era where information is readily accessible, and teachers must design instruction that provides the basis for connected learning. A meaningful learning environment also helps students understand the relevance and purpose behind their studies, which increases their motivation and commitment to the educational process. Instead of rote memorization, students can engage in hands-on activities and projects that have a concrete impact on their understanding of the world and overall development.
Educators can create an inclusive environment that allows students to reach their full potential and prepares them for future challenges. Establishing a meaningful learning environment where students understand the relevance and purpose of their education is essential. Transforming Preschool Education:
Our Authentic Learning Proposal
As part of my innovation proposal, I suggest designing an authentic learning project that integrates the central ideas of a new learning culture. This interdisciplinary project will allow preschool students to address real-world problems or challenges related to early literacy and promote their engagement and active participation in learning.
The project will focus on personalizing learning by offering activities and tasks that suit each student's interests and abilities. Through blended learning, children will be free to choose topics they are passionate about and share their findings using different media and technological resources, promoting their autonomy and responsibility in the learning process.
In addition, the project will encourage collaboration and teamwork by organizing periodic group meetings where students can learn to exchange ideas. They will be ready to listen and learn from other children at an early age, improve their communication skills, and work together toward a common goal.
Technology integration will be crucial to the project, as digital tools and online resources will support the students' learning environment. This initiative will provide students with access to various digital resources, allowing them to acquire the digital skills of self-reflection and self-assessment essential for personal and academic growth and necessary for the 21st century. Finally, the project will also encourage reflection and metacognition by incorporating regular moments of self-assessment and feedback.

Establishing a significant learning atmosphere for preschool children may pose a challenge, but there are practical approaches that can help tackle these difficulties effectively. Below are some common issues I encounter regularly and proven techniques to address them efficiently. The suggested strategies are general recommendations derived from standard practices and educational principles.

Preschool children can have diverse abilities, interests, and needs. Some may be more advanced in certain areas, while others need additional support. Adapting the environment to meet each child's needs is essential.

As someone with experience working in preschools, I know that being adaptable and prepared for unexpected changes and challenges is crucial. Preschool environments can be unpredictable, so it's essential to have solid strategies and flexibility to address any sudden changes and unforeseen challenges that may arise. By doing so, you will be better equipped to create and maintain meaningful and enriching learning environments for preschoolers.

Charting the path of learning: How to cultivate meaningful environments in preschool education
I want to share an experience that was very enriching for me and redefined my path in this course. In my first presentation, I got a B and was asked for more information and supporting evidence related to the readings selected for the topic. However, I left one of the questions unanswered in my initial paper because I needed more time to respond.
But this week, I got to the bottom of my answer, and it hit me like a bolt of lightning, not as a divine theme but as a result of a simple change of focus. I was in my classroom doing what I do every day with my children, my routine, and the results were beautiful.
I mentioned earlier that I teach a particular education class for children with difficulty speaking due to their diagnosis. Most of my students need help with their behavior, social skills, and academic development. They also find transitions challenging and sharing the classroom with regular students. However, they are the same age group as regular students and attend classes with them.
Working daily with the tools I have acquired since beginning the Digital Learning degree, I wondered what would happen if I used the same technological applications in my small group to improve their skills in understanding letters, numbers, geometric figures, and syllables—nothing complicated: basic Prek instruction.
These last two weeks, after several days of informally evaluating, making quick decisions, managing an environment change, and simply trying it out, the surprising results made me modify my initial innovation proposal, which I already knew. (NEW INNOVATION PROPOSAL), which includes my particular students. It is now more focused than ever on them and how useful it can be for their academic and general development.
We return to the question: Does my perspective have the breadth necessary to significantly impact my learning philosophy and actions in a way that creates meaningful learning environments for my PreK class?
Today, more than ever, I can affirm that if there is a change in my learning philosophy, my perspective significantly influences my learning philosophy and actions. After what I have experienced, I am committed to creating a meaningful learning environment for my preschool students, prioritizing their emotional, social, and cognitive well-being. To accomplish this, I incorporated principles from the book A New Culture of Learning and addressed the unique needs of general and special children in the same classroom. My ultimate goal is to promote the overall growth of my students and their families. This philosophy is not just a theoretical idea; It is evident in my classroom.
My approach involves providing individualized attention to each child and recognizing her unique interests, abilities, and learning styles. I understand that preschoolers, particularly in my mixed class, are in a critical phase of exploration and discovery, each in their way. Therefore, I strive to create an environment that fosters their innate curiosity and love of learning, as mentioned in the book "The New Culture of Learning" by D. Thomas, while promoting empathy. In addition, I can manage the different learning environments required within the same classroom."
By employing pedagogical practices that prioritize collaboration, play, and experimentation, I am creating an environment where children feel safe to express themselves in various ways (verbal and non-verbal), ask questions, and learn from each other. The integration of blended learning has significantly improved the acquisition of essential knowledge, even exceeding the requirements of a preschool curriculum.
On the other hand, I understand the importance of social and emotional interactions in education and work. It is essential to improve my students' social and emotional skills as they navigate the world around them. Empathy is a valuable quality often overlooked in today's society. It reminds us that each individual has a unique story and experience.
As dedicated educators, we are committed to constantly improving our methods and reflecting on our practices. By doing so, we can continue to evolve and develop in our profession and better meet the changing needs of our students. We always strive for openness to new knowledge, and our focus on a humanized perspective enables us to make a positive difference in the lives of our young students. Our collective efforts will help prepare them for a future full of possibilities.
