Throughout this course, I have had the privilege of embarking on a journey of exploration and discovery in education. My approach has been guided by a learning philosophy that recognizes the importance of cultivating an educational environment that promotes the holistic growth of students. Inspired by the theory of constructivism, I have embraced the idea that students are active constructors of their knowledge, and my goal has been to facilitate this process by providing meaningful learning opportunities.
My innovation proposal has focused on implementing a COVA (Choice, Ownership, Voice, Authenticity) approach to design learning activities. This approach seeks to empower students by allowing them to choose how and what they want to learn, take ownership of their learning process, and express their voices in the classroom. By detailing desired outcomes, assessments, and planned activities in a three-column table, educators can ensure a comprehensive approach to instruction that promotes a learning mindset in students.
